An individual who tried to circulate counterfeit 200,000-soum banknotes detained in Tashkent
He used to sell 200,000-soum counterfeit bills for 60,000 soums each.
At an operative event held by the PGO Department and the Chilanzar district SSS Department, it was found out that A.S., a resident of Uchtepa district, was making fake 200,000-soum bills and selling them for 60,000 soums each, the Information Service of the PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported.
“During the event, 10 counterfeit 200,000-soum bills, 31 200,000-soum banknotes printed on A4 paper, a color printer and other devices used in production were seized as material evidence,” the report reads.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 176 of the Criminal Code (forgery of money, excise stamps or securities, their transfer). An investigation is underway.
