Senate to convene for next plenary session on June 22

The meeting will consider laws on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh state border, on the ratification of the Agreement between Uzbekistan and Pakistan on cooperation in the military-technical sphere, and a number of others.

On June 20, a regular meeting of the council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis was held, during which a resolution was adopted to convene the forty-second plenary meeting of the Senate on June 22, the press service of the Senate reported.

At the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing, it is planned to discuss a number of laws.

Among them are “On anti-corruption expertise of regulatory legal acts and their drafts”, “On introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On state duty”, “On introducing amendments and additions to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility in connection with improving the procedure for determining the size of the administrative fine imposed for non-execution of executive documents” and “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the prevention and treatment of narcological diseases”.

Also, laws “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with further improvement of the activities of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the radio frequency spectrum”, “On ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of Kazakhstan on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh State border (Tashkent, December 22, 2022)” and “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in the military-technical field (Islamabad, March 3, 2022)” will be discussed.

In addition, at the plenary session it is planned to consider the results of the parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cultural Heritage Agency on measures to store museum objects and collections and ensure their safety.
