Senators discuss the law on demarcation of Uzbek-Kazakh state border
The Senate Committee considered the issue of ratification of important international agreements.

On June 20, 2023, the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism preliminary considered the issue of ratifying important bilateral agreements.
The senators discussed in detail the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh State border” (Tashkent, December 22, 2022).
It was noted that the ratification of this document is an important step to ensure a systematic solution to the issues of demarcation of the state border, preventing illegal migration. This initiative will contribute to bringing the Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
The senators also considered the Law “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in the military-technical field (Islamabad, March 3, 2022)”.
Based on the results of the discussion, the relevant decision of the Committee was adopted.
