Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan meet in Ashgabat, consider deepening strategic partnership
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.

At the meeting, the heads of state discussed the issues of deepening strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, based on centuries-old friendship and good neighborly ties.
It was noted that practical cooperation is expanding in all directions.
High-level agreements are being successfully implemented. Relations between governments, ministries and agencies have become systematic.
The volume of mutual trade is increasing, beneficial cooperation in various sectors of the economy is expanding. It was noted that the "Shavot-Toshovuz" joint trade zone will be put into operation in the near future.
The parties emphasized the importance of promoting joint cooperation projects, exchanges between regions and the development of cultural and humanitarian relations.
