Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Kuwait
Ayubkhon Yunusov has been appointed Uzbekistan's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait.
Prior to his new assignment, Ayubkhon Yunusov served as the head of the Consular-Legal Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His extensive experience with the Ministry stretches back to 2003, during which he held various positions, including roles within the central apparatus, as well as diplomatic missions in the embassy in Saudi Arabia and Consulates General in the city of Jeddah and Dubai.
The seasoned diplomat begins his work in the capital city of Kuwait, taking over as the key representative of Uzbekistan's interests in the region. His tenure is expected to be instrumental in strengthening the ties between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, focusing on advancing diplomatic relations, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Yunusov's background and expertise in the Middle Eastern region position him well for this pivotal role, suggesting a continued emphasis on enhancing Uzbekistan's presence and collaborative efforts in the Gulf states.
