Uzbek brides top ranking in Türkiye’s foreign marriage figures for 2023

As of the end of 2023, Uzbek women are at the forefront of the rankings for foreign brides in Türkiye, MIR24 reports with reference to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute.

According to the report, 12 percent of foreign brides in Türkiye are citizens of Uzbekistan. Syrian brides are next in the ranking with 11 percent, followed by Azerbaijani brides at 9 percent. Russian brides have entered the top five with a figure of 7.5 percent.

In 2023, the average age of foreign brides was 28.5 years. The most marriages were registered during the months of July, August, and September.

Cities like Istanbul, Antalya, and Izmir have hosted the majority of weddings involving foreign brides.
