Tashkent police arrest 50 individuals on suspicion of extremism and terrorism
Preventative measures against religious extremism and terrorism are being carried out in Tashkent.

According to information from the Tashkent City Police Department, on April 7, during operational activities, 45 searches were conducted in the homes of individuals who had joined extremist radical groups. All suspects were detained.
It is reported that in the first three months of the current year, 50 criminal cases related to religious extremism and terrorism have been initiated, 188 administrative protocols have been drafted, and legal measures have been taken against 264 individuals.

"Dear citizens, avoid joining various radical groups and do not promote alien ideologies through social networks. Always monitor which groups your children join on social networks and what content they are watching," the message said.

Citizens who have any information about such individuals are encouraged to contact the local police department, or preventative inspectors, or call the number 102.
