The city administration of Nurafshon has developed a draft resolution to enhance the city's business environment, according to the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
The document was created with input from the Tashkent regional administration and local entrepreneurs. Specifically, the proposal includes establishing an industrial and foreign trade technopark in the form of a special industrial zone within the city.
The planned technopark will feature production buildings ranging from 2 to 7 stories, housing investment projects worth $720 million. Additionally, the area will include social, service, and infrastructure facilities.
There are also plans to establish the Nurafshan Investment Company to implement business projects based on the city's municipal assets. A similar company was founded in Tashkent in 2023.
The renovation program includes the construction of residential complexes with 1,000 apartments and commercial spaces. To make way for this, one- and two-story houses built along Toshkent Yuli and Khurramlik streets in the 1950s–1960s will be demolished.
In the Birlik neighborhood, an eco-market and storage facility for agricultural products are planned. Investment projects worth $320 million are proposed for the former Tuytepa Textile factory site.
In Nurafshon Business City, there are plans to build a residential complex and kindergarten covering 6 hectares. A multi-story hotel and a shopping and entertainment center may also be located here.
