STC reveals top taxpayers in Uzbekistan: State enterprises dominate the list
The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has published the list of the country's top 10 largest taxpayers for the first three quarters of 2024. The list highlights both state-owned enterprises and private-sector companies that made the most significant tax contributions during the January–September period.

Among state enterprises, the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC) emerged as the top taxpayer, contributing over UZS 18.6 trillion. It was followed by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), which paid UZS 6.3 trillion, and UzGasTrade, which contributed UZS 3 trillion in taxes.
In the private sector, the top 10 companies collectively paid almost UZS 6.5 trillion in taxes over the same period. Leading the pack is Uzbekistan British American Tobacco (UzBAT) JSC, with a tax contribution of UZS 843 billion. Following closely behind are Enter Engineering LTD with UZS 834 billion and Tashkent Tobacco LLC with UZS 686 billion.
Overall, 949 major taxpayers contributed over UZS 81.2 trillion to Uzbekistan's state budget during the nine-month period, showcasing the substantial role both state and private entities play in the country’s economic landscape.
