Saida Mirziyoyeva holds talks with Al-Azhar Grand Imam to discuss religious and educational cooperation

During the meeting, Saida Mirziyoyeva conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Al-Azhar leader. She said the talks focused on deepening ties between Uzbekistan and Egypt in education, religious enlightenment, and academic exchange.

Particular attention was given to the importance of promoting the values of enlightened Islam and expanding cooperation to protect young people from radicalization. Both sides emphasized that joint efforts in this area are increasingly vital amid global security and ideological challenges.

The meeting also highlighted mutual interest in developing joint educational programs, expanding academic exchange initiatives, and intensifying cooperation in the study of historical manuscripts.
