A delegation led by Tashkent Deputy Mayor Abdulaziz Isroilov took part in a business forum in London dedicated to cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in the field of waste processing.

The event, held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK, brought together representatives of UK Export Finance (UKEF), CDE Group, Kiverco, Fichtner, Operis, as well as major investors.

Leading British manufacturers of waste-processing equipment – CDE Group and Kiverco – delivered presentations on projects planned in Uzbekistan. The two companies subsequently signed an agreement to build a waste-processing plant in Tashkent.

The report noted that the Uzbek delegation also visited several waste-processing facilities in London to study the UK’s advanced experience in this sector.

In 2025, construction will begin simultaneously on three waste-to-energy plants. These projects are being implemented in partnership with China International Camce in Andijan, Shanghai SUS Environment in Samarkand, and China Everbright International in Fergana. At the end of November, construction also commenced in Namangan on a plant that will generate electricity from waste.
