The announcement followed a meeting between Minister Botir Zohidov and Yousef Saleh Algahrah Al-Otaibi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan. The talks focused on the outcomes and future prospects of cooperation in trade and economic relations, humanitarian ties, and labor migration. Plans to employ Uzbek citizens in Saudi Arabia were also outlined during the meeting.
In addition, the ministry presented initiatives to establish training centers aimed at preparing caregiving staff and technical specialists. The two sides agreed to further expand cooperation in the labor and employment sector.
Earlier in December, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia signed a new cooperation agreement on labor migration. The agreement was concluded between the Migration Agency and Health Resources Company. Under the deal, Uzbek citizens seeking employment as mid-level medical professionals in Saudi Arabia will be placed in jobs through a legal, safe, and transparent process.
