Uzbekistan extends zero import duty on key raw materials until 2027
Uzbekistan has extended the application of a zero import customs duty on certain raw materials and semi-finished products until January 1, 2027, under a presidential decree issued on January 19, 2026.
The decree amends and supplements several existing presidential documents, including Resolution No. PP–5262 of October 20, 2021, “On measures to further expand the production of competitive products.”
According to the updated provisions, the zero import duty rate will now remain in effect for the specified materials and semi-finished goods until the new 2027 deadline.
Previously, the zero-duty regime for these materials was set to expire on January 1, 2024. The extension is aimed at supporting local industries, encouraging production of competitive goods, and facilitating access to essential inputs for manufacturers.
