The ministry clarified that gas tariffs for the population remain at their previous levels. However, officials noted that while the price per cubic meter has not changed, the "social norm" or base consumption quota has transitioned from the winter schedule to the spring-autumn schedule effective March 1.

Under the current regulatory framework, the base monthly consumption limit for natural gas is adjusted seasonally to account for heating requirements. During the peak heating season, which runs from November to February, the base norm is increased fivefold from 100 cubic meters to 500 cubic meters per month.

With the conclusion of the winter season, the standard consumption limits have returned to their baseline levels. For the period between March 1 and October 31, 2026, the monthly base norm is set at 100 cubic meters.

It should be noted that a slightly different seasonal window applies to the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, where the winter base norm of 500 cubic meters is active from October through February.

The Ministry of Energy reiterated that any consumption within these established norms, as well as volumes exceeding them, will continue to be billed according to the existing tariff structures previously approved by the government.
