Uzbekistan temporarily suspends flights to several Middle Eastern countries
Following the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, all resident and non-resident airlines have temporarily suspended flights from Uzbekistan's airports to several countries in the region. The suspension affects routes to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, and Israel.
The decision comes as a direct response to the worsening security climate in the Middle East, which has impacted international airspace and travel safety.
Despite the general suspension, specific flight operations are currently being conducted to ensure the safe return of Uzbek citizens. Airlines are presently performing flights dedicated to bringing home compatriots who traveled to these destinations prior to February 28, 2026.
To ensure the accuracy of travel information, authorities have urged citizens to rely solely on official communication channels. Passengers are advised to contact airline representative offices directly or use the hotlines listed on the official websites of the respective carriers for updates regarding their travel status.
Uzbekistan Airports and relevant aviation authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to determine when regular air service can safely resume.
