Uzbekistan reduces terms for issuing a residence permit to foreign citizens
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On amendments and additions to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 20, 2020 No. 593 “On measures to simplify the procedure for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted in connection with the improvement of legislation in the field of providing for citizens of foreign states of the right to obtain a residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The document provides for amendments and additions in connection with the simplification of the registration procedure for foreigners and stateless persons and allows consideration of applications through the online system.
In addition, the general term for consideration and issuance of permanent residence permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons:
• in the territory of Karakalpakstan and regions, it is reduced from 98 to 68 working days, and the review stages are reduced from 10 to 8;
• in the territory of Tashkent and Tashkent region, it is reduced from 128 to 68 days, and the stages of consideration are reduced from 11 to 8.
