Over 60 thousand foreigners received a visa to Uzbekistan in H1 2023
The Foreign Ministry provided information about the work done from January to June of this year, including the number of visas issued, the provision of consular assistance to compatriots.
Akhror Burkhonov, head of the information service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented information on the work done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the past six months.
It is noted that over the past six months, visas to enter Uzbekistan have been issued to 60,744 foreign citizens. Of these, 32,477 were issued electronically.
Also during this period, within the framework of bilateral cooperation, 73 high-level visits and 186 visits of representatives of state organizations and delegations of regional administrations were made to Uzbekistan.
Expert delegations of international and regional organizations made 62 visits to Uzbekistan.
In addition, over the past period, consular services were provided to 107,527 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2,854 compatriots were provided with assistance in finding employment abroad, and 10,354 citizens received material assistance.
523 Uzbeks who found themselves abroad in a difficult life situation, including victims of human trafficking, the unemployed, left without a breadwinner and in other difficult situations, were returned to their homeland, 113 were taken out of places of temporary detention.
Identity documents that were illegally confiscated by employers were returned to 133 citizens of Uzbekistan.
