Anti-Corruption Agency reports UZS 666.6 billion in flawed public tenders in 2025

The Anti-Corruption Agency has identified violations in 189 public procurement procedures worth UZS 666.6 billion in 2025, according to its latest report.

Although the number of detected violations decreased significantly compared to the previous year, the total value of the flawed procurements increased.

The agency reported that the number of violations uncovered in 2025 fell by 282 cases, or 60 percent, compared to 2024. However, the total value of identified violations rose by UZS 167.9 billion, marking a 33.7 percent increase year on year.

Of the 189 cases recorded, 60 procurement procedures with a total value of UZS 70 billion were cancelled. In another 87 cases, worth UZS 560.1 billion in total, preventive measures were introduced to address and avert violations.

According to the agency’s breakdown, the most common violations involved unfair evaluation practices or restrictions on competition, accounting for 102 cases, or 54 percent of the total.

Affiliation related violations were identified in 32 cases, representing 17 percent. Conflict of interest issues were recorded in 36 cases, or 20 percent, while the remaining 19 cases, 9 percent, were linked to other irregularities.

As a result of the identified violations, 14 officials were held administratively liable and 12 were subjected to disciplinary measures. Criminal proceedings were initiated in two cases.

The Anti-Corruption Agency urged citizens to report corruption cases through its call center by dialing 1253.
