Turkmenistan to increase gas supplies to Uzbekistan
An agreement on increasing gas supplies was reached during a phone conversation between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Earlier, Turkmenistan had halted gas exports to Russia after “Turkmengaz” and “Gazprom” failed to agree on prices.

Government raises foreign and domestic borrowing limits for 2024
Uzbekistan has raised its annual foreign borrowing limit for 2024 from $5 billion to $7.3 billion, marking the first significant increase in external debt limits since 2020. Economist Otabek Bakirov highlighted the development, noting the allocation of $3.2 billion to support the state budget and $4.1 billion for financing investment projects.
