US lawmakers urge Trump to convene leaders’ summit with Central Asian countries
Members of the US Congress have sent a letter to President Donald Trump recommending the organization of a summit in the “Central Asia–US” (C5+1) format. The letter highlights that the forum presents a unique opportunity to strengthen cooperation with Central Asia and advance US strategic interests in the region.

Religious scholar Mubasshir Ahmad decides not to appeal court ruling – lawyer
“I believe Mubasshir Ahmad has surrendered to ‘fate’ and no longer wishes to engage in further disputes,” said his lawyer in a comment to Kun.uz. On 8 October, Judge Bobur Rahimov found the scholar guilty on all three charges brought by the investigative authorities and sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison.

“Don’t fly Wizness class” – Canadian musician releases song about Wizz Air incident involving Uzbek student
Canadian musician Dave Carroll has released a new song dedicated to Suhrob Ubaydullaev, an Uzbek student who was denied boarding by Wizz Air in 2023. The song, titled Don’t fly Wizness class, is accompanied by a music video. Carroll’s previous song once forced major airlines to rethink their approach to customer service. Earlier, Suhrob told Kun.uz how the incident had left him stranded abroad.
