"We will reduce the poverty rate to 6% in the coming years" – Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Uzbekistan’s poverty rate will drop to 9% by the end of the year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated. According to him, if collaboration with entrepreneurs continues, "we can confidently reduce this figure to 6% in the coming years." The president also discussed plans in tourism, taxation, exports, and infrastructure development.
